Pallikkal Maha Devi temple ocupies a prominent position among the Pathinettupattupura temples. This is the first temple in Kottarakkara Taluk where Ponnin Thirumudi Ezhunnallathu takes place.The construction of Ponnin thirumudi as per the aspirations of Amma has been completed.

Ponnin Thirumudi replicates the vigor and liveliness of Pallikkkalamma and surely it is an amazing example of the erstwhile craftsmanship. The darsan of the Mudi will be possible only on the day of Thiruvultsavam. On that particular day, after the usual poojas in the morning session the Ponnin Thirumudi after attaining the liveliness of Amma is placed on the neatly decorated Chapramandapam. The devotees submit their offerings before the Mudi. After the return of Devi’s Divine visit (ezhunnallathu) from the Udaya Thampuran temple, the ezhunnallippu of Ponnin Thirumudi starts.The devotees accompany it. On the very next day around 11 am the Mudi will be brought to the temple and will be detached from Amma’s gaiety and will be kept in the Mudippura.
